E is one month old now – yesterday was her 1 month birthday!
She’s still sleeping with us, but after asking for advice, I’ve realized that most of our friends and family lived through the exact same thing, and we’ve decided to just go with the flow for now. She sleeps so well with us, that it just seems right.
We had her 1 month doctor visit today, and she’s up to 9 lbs! She’s in the 50th percentile for both height and weight, so we’re pretty happy with her progress. She received her second Hep B shot today, and she was such a trooper! After a brief fit, she quickly calmed down, and was her sweet self again in no time!
She does have baby acne, which doesn’t look awesome, but it doesn’t seem to bother her, so we’re not concerned about it. The pediatrician suggested keeping a blanket washed in E’s detergent handy, to keep her face off adults’ clothes washed in other, harsher detergents.
The pediatrician also suggested that E’s BMs would change in the next couple weeks, becoming less frequent. Woo hoo! We’re changing around 12 diapers a day right now, so this is VERY welcome news.
What else should we be anticipating in the next few weeks??
